Anna University is one of the leading technical and engineering courses University for the state of Tamil Nadu, India. The Anna University was established on 4th September 1978 as the unitary type of University. The University provides both undergraduate, postgraduate, research and doctorate levels to the students.

The courses offered in the streams as Science, Engineering, Business and Management Studies, Architecture and Planning, IT as well as Software. The university also conducts two of the most important state-level exams as TANCET also TNEA. Here’ s simple Process to get Admission in Anna University

Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission (TNEA) process will initiate after the counseling is over. The candidates will get the admission on the basis of their intermediate marks. Candidates have to report to the allotted colleges then submit the fees and complete the admission formalities.

Eligibility

  • Candidates who have completed 8th class to intermediates studies in the state of Tamil Nadu are eligible to apply also need not enclose the nativity certificate.
  • Students must produce nativity certificate also if they have not completed 8th class to intermediate studies in Tamilnadu.
  • Candidates need to obtain a minimum of 50% marks in mathematics, physics also chemistry. For Marine Engineering, need for 60 % marks in these 3 subjects as well as 50% in English.

The students must have the following academic scores

  • General Category – 50%
  • BC including BCM -45%
  • MBC – 45%
  • SC / SCM – 40%

Application fee

  • For General or OBC category – Rs.500/-
  • For SC or ST category – Rs. 250/-
